Supported Browsers:
MetaMask is compatible with several browsers, including Chrome, Firefox, Brave, and Edge. Visit the respective browser's extension store or the MetaMask website to download the extension.
Download MetaMask:
Go to metamask.io using your preferred browser.
Install MetaMask:
Click on "Get Chrome Extension" or "Get Firefox Add-on" (depending on your browser).
Follow the prompts to install the MetaMask extension. This will add the MetaMask icon (a fox) to your browser toolbar.
Create a New Wallet:
Click on the MetaMask icon in your browser toolbar.
If you don't have a MetaMask wallet yet, click "Get Started".
Follow the instructions to create a new wallet. You will be prompted to set a password and given a 12-word seed phrase (recovery phrase). Store this seed phrase securely.
Import Existing Wallet:
If you already have a MetaMask wallet and want to use it with the extension, click on "Import Wallet" and enter your 12-word seed phrase.
Accessing Your Wallet:
Once set up, you can access your wallet by clicking on the MetaMask icon in your browser toolbar.
Managing Cryptocurrencies:
MetaMask allows you to send and receive Ethereum (ETH) and ERC-20 tokens.
You can view transaction history, manage multiple wallets, and interact with decentralized applications (dApps) directly from MetaMask.
